OUR MISSION AND STATEMENTS
Mission Statement
To develop disciples by training the next generation in the way they should go, so when they are old, they will not depart from it. Using a classical curriculum and teaching life skills to help students cultivate a love of what is true, good, and beautiful. Provide parents with an education they can trust using tried and true evidence-based methods and teaching techniques.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of Cornerstone Community Schoolhouse is to equip students with the ability to use the Holy Scriptures, to know God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the Trinity, so that they can become who God intended them to be in Christ in order to glorify Him.
Vision Statement
Cornerstone Community Schoolhouse is committed to excellence using the one-room schoolhouse setting in accordance with a classical education model. Varying ages working alongside each other allows students to hold each other accountable to grow in grace, grit, gratitude and grammar. Our school allows students the flexibility to spend more time in an area of weakness or advance in an area of strength. This creates true grit in students and allows them the opportunity to take ownership of their work. Lastly, Cornerstone Community Schoolhouse will be teaching life skills such as cooking, sewing, and gardening to help students gain a skill that they can develop into a way to serve others in their family, in their community, in their future ministry, and some day in the world.

Christian Code of Conduct:
In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great command. Loving God with all our hearts means with everything that we desire and put in our hearts. We are called to make sure that what we desire goodness and of God (Matthew 12:34-40). Loving God with all our soul is defined as our spirituality having a hunger and a thirst for God (Psalm 42:1-2). And most importantly loving God with all our minds is define as our thoughts. We are called to train our thought to meditate on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtue, and praise (Philippians 4:8).
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. The Christian Code of Conduct for Cornerstone Community Schoolhouse is the law of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17):
-
Thou shalt have no other god's before Me.
-
Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image.
-
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
-
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
-
Honour thy father and thy mother.
-
Thou shalt not kill.
-
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
-
Thou shalt not steal.
-
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
-
Thou shalt not covet.
